An assortment

I have been extremely busy lately, and photography has been something I haven't been able to do as much as I would like. I miss it!

Last week we went on a camping trip. I took many images during the drive and on hikes, but here are the ones I've loved enough to upload.

I still have lots to do! Complete the processing on the images from camping, finish album art for The Jox, mail Claudia her CD from the images we did together, not to mention lots of things around home that need done. This summer has been going by too quickly!

My dog Zero came camping with us also:

Canvas, Dixie, Harley, and Zeus

My best friend Kait (you've seen her before...I did some images with her old VW Beetle) house sat for her cousin recently for a week, while she and her husband were on a hunting trip. Part of the reason was because they own a few dogs! I stayed there a few nights with her to hang out, watch movies and of course play with the dogs. They have two St. Bernards: Harley and Max(he was in boarding as he has a few health problems her cousin didn't want her to have to worry about while they were gone) and Olde English Bulldog named Dixie, and the two duck hunting dogs: Canvas the Chocolate Lab and Zeus the Chesapeake Bay Retriever.

Of course, I brought my camera as I couldn't resist working with such well-behaved and photogenic dogs. (and dogs are my favorite to photograph of course) I left them a CD of all the images as a suprise for them to find when they arrived home. My best friend is like a sister to me, so as far as I'm concerned that makes her cousin like family.

Here's Canvas; the docile beauty:

Dixie; the goofy one that never stops snorting (or sat still):

Harley; the laid back, go-with-the-flow man:

And lastly- Zeus; clearly a Daddy's boy, and really into 'getting the ducks'. His eyes were always so expressive.

Claudia - a second time!

I worked with Claudia about a year ago this time, and we ended up having lots of awesome images. We keep in close contact through flickr, because she does photography along with modeling. We knew we wanted to work together again sometime, and when the opportunity came that she was in my area for a big group shoot- we took advantage of that and met up one afternoon at the Hoover Dam in Westerville. I had been wanting to shoot at this shore-like location with lots of trees, rocks, and water for some time. We had a wonderful time and made friends with the geese as they followed us throughout the day along the waters' edge. (so they show up in many of the images hehe)

Claudia, it was wonderful seeing you and Stephen again and catching up. I think we talked more than anything else ;) I'd love to do another shoot again if we can get a hold of a vintage 50's swimsuit!
